ThongsThey made it to the cup semi though
Oh no we didn't.
Trains late?
That 94-95 team had a brutal run of fixtures around wembley. Played April 15th, 17th, 19th, Wembley 23rd, Brentford 26th
I know, I was there, that night in Plymouth will live long in the memory.
I'm a ST holder and live in Torquay. I miss most midweek games. I buy an ST naimly to support the owners. If they put their buck in I'll put mine. I'll renew as well.
El MayorThongsSutton and Blackpool were on Sundays 😛
You know what I mean you pedantic arse 🤣
Says Lord Pedant of Chelmsley Wood. 😂
To those who turned up : Thank you for your service
I never bothered last night just couldn't have the hassle of getting the last train from Bordesley trying to get on it etc...also felt like I've been living down there lately with so many games..
Apparently the seats are all reserved for Delves and his mates but they were busy weaving a flag or something.
TamWhy doesn’t your mate finish work, stay in Brum, get changed and go on the piss?egnegI think quite a few season tickets holders find it easier to watch it on sky plus rather than rush home from work and struggle trough traffic to get there in time. There are definitely empty season ticket seats near me for night games.
You can't blame them really, especially in winter. There is a lot of hassle and commitment involved in getting to football these days for a lot of people.
I've missed a couple for that reason - wel, more accurately, my mate has to finish work in Birmingham, get back up the M6 to Stafford, then we battle the M6 again. As he works outside most of the time, it's a bit of a tough ask to do every midweek game, particularly as he gets up at about 4.30am, and the M6 stands a good chance of being closed in parts (as it was last night) on the way back up home.
It's an easy choice sometimes if the game's on the red button. I'm glad we made it last night though, as the ref was worth the effort in comedy value alone.

He's got to get his van (which is full of his work kit) back up home ready for the next morning, or I'd be happy to pick him up in Brum. There are other factors as well.
Obvs STH's can pick and choose when to attend, fair enough but...thousands (and it was a good 2 or 3 thousand) of empty seats = less matchday revenue for the club, it doesn't help the players and it makes us look a bit tinpot on the telly.

Missed my first game last night.
Started feeling bit rough the day after going to Bolton but made it to the Lincoln game with just a severe sore throat. Since Sunday been barely able to get out of bed, bad flu/chest infection, even a bit of conjunctivitis thrown in. Still no sign of it clearing up.
Think I get a pass.
I was just curious, STHs have every right to turn up or not.
Its just that against Stevenage there seemed way more empty seats than usual in areas that are normally full.
I guess that over 25k against Stevenage on a Tuesday is decent especially when you take into account that the away support could have arrived on a Raleigh Chopper.
Anyway, it was nice to hear what everyone else was up to last night.🍺

Bring back the cardboard cutouts.😂
Possibly shift workers who would prefer to use a days holiday or hours to go to the semi final rather than a league game 🤷
