Among a sea of incompetent referees this season, that clown yesterday was right up there.
Absolutely terrible display.
Their keeper held the ball for nearly 30 seconds in one incident yesterday. It’s mad
And for most of his kicks he carried the ball outside the areas
I would if we didn't only test Steer 2 or 3 times. Got to be doing more if I want to blame the ref. Had we lost 2-1 I would've been much more on his back
Good point. I just think we might have settled a bit and been less angry had he put a stop to their niggliness early on.
Suppose they played the ref better. The feckers.
Legal_BluenoseI’ve never understood why they take the risk of getting penalised at adult level. I understand at young kids games because they can’t kick it very farAnd for most of his kicks he carried the ball outside the areas

I'm absolutely sick of it. Why do refs choose to only enforce certain laws of the game?

Pretty much yeah. And fair play to them because their goals were exceptional. But can't help but feel a bit more hard done by than I did yesterday where I was more fecked off at our performance.

Seriously what can the ref do other than book the keeper. Admit I don’t know the rules but the lack of action assumes they have no option.
Next year they are bringing in the corner rule which I don’t like.
I’d go warning yellow warning penalty warning sending off, if they are daft enough to persist starting from the first minute.
There would be a time limit for both holding the ball and restart. The 4 th official could be the timekeeper they don’t do much else.
Just book the keeper and they don't do it again, it's really that simple.
Don't wait until the 90th minute to book them.
They get one warning, then a booking, than a final warning, then a red card.
Simple as that.
The law now is 6 seconds to release the ball and if not an indirect free kick from where the keeper is standing is awarded. The refs are paid to enforce the laws not to decide what to ignore
There's a rule now they don't enforce, why then bring in the corner rule? It's ridiculous.
What about the one late second half, where we were having an overload on their left hand side and one of theirs went down clutching his head? Then to restart the game he gave it to their goalkeeper to kick away. The look on Alfies face was priceless. Not the worst we have had this year but close.
Yeah that rattled me as well. He also asked the player if he needed the physio on, he of course said no as he didn’t want to have to go off for 30 seconds. The ref gave him about 30 seconds before restarting the game and gave it their keeper.
When play is stopped for a head injury the player should be forced to go off for 30 seconds regardless if they want physio assistance. It’s really that simple

My daughter watched the match on Sky and the commentators found it strange that Blues fans were getting upset at how long the keeper was taking - they said words to the effect of “they’re getting mixed up, the rule doesn’t come in until next season”. Erm - hello so called football commentators - the rule has existed for yonks! Only the punishment is changing next season - you idiots!
