Bingo. They managed the situation poorly and then cry foul when they decided not to sell a player before the deadline. If the value wasn't enough to stay within the rules then, given they had a whole year to plan properly to stay within the limits by not buying two whole new squads, they only have themselves to blame.

The press picking up on this sorry excuse is pathetic, especially that they debate it relentlessly but when us and others get whacked with worse penalties we apparently deserve it. Press trying their best to support the closed shop.

In fairness most Blues said we didn’t deserve our punishment, but most seem to think Forest do.

You'd maybe have a point of it weren't for the awkward fact that loads of blues were just as angry when the EFL tried to get us to sell Adams for whatever we could get for him rather than waiting until Southampton stumped up £15m at the end of the season.

People think "But Citeh" is a defence.

Citeh that have been cleared by UEFA and the Prem haven't been able to make anything stick against a decade later

We deserved our points deduction for breaching P&S rules. There's a difference between a breach of a business plan and a breach of P&S rules. Forest and Everton breached P&S rules plain and simple.

The main point I was trying to get across is the press siding with the Premier League clubs when they didn't with the Championship clubs that got punished for similar breaches of P&S rules.

Raspers

As per the commission report - they turned down 50m euros from Atletico Madrid on June 30.

They sold him for £47.5m end of the window.

I think there is a point in Forest’s case.

Aye.

The PL vetoed the EFL deal in part cos there are rich EFL club owners who just aren’t running their clubs with financial prudence.

Hard to argue with it tbf.

That's true. Bit pot kettle black when two prem teams have been fined for financial breaches in the last 6 months and cases are outstanding against Chelsea and Man Citeh

Man City weren't cleared by UEFA. They were found found guilty but because of the length of time that had passed, could not charge them. The PL has no such time-barring, hence the charges.
