apparently the lads chanted “she’s got chlamydia, she’s got chlamydia”

Pathetic, puerile and juvenile, arrest worthy though 🤷

If that’s true then that’s wrong, that’s stupid, that’s juvenile, and that’s not funny. Which they probably thought it was.

Saying that I’ve heard a lot worse over the years particularly when in amongst the baggies fans at the hawthorns in the 4-2 win . The most venomous and intense by any supporters during my 50 years. Seems to be getting worse everywhere from what I can tell although my away days are over.

Seems to be more anger and less humour in society generally nowadays.

Good to see action being taken. Not before time. Sadly, little boys will be little boys. There's another forum, not SHA obvs, where there is virtually a whole thread full of misogynist "banter". You just shake your head and wonder at these immature dinosaurs.

Were the chlamydia crew sat in block 39? This chant was also aimed at a woman from Ipswich. Same crew that davo likes to feature in his away day vlogs.

I’m not sure the people saying there is more venom and abuse about ‘these days’ are really right. There was plenty directed at referees (their parentage, who is the chap in the black), police (we’re the friend of a chap who kills them) and the opposition team and fans (whose heads are about to be kicked in prior to their trip home in a health service vehicle) in times past. That and the distinctly unfriendly behaviour of having half house bricks and bottles thrown at you, in the ground.

What there is a lot more about is chat about it, comment about and so on. It’s not going to be straight forward because we’d never say racist ‘banter’ was ok. I can’t ever see referees ever coming to be loved in the game and I’m all for the aspirations that their ambition should be to be as unnoticeable as possible as that old saying about not noticing them means they’ve had a good game I think to be true. VAR doesn’t help and the sex of a ref shouldn’t really be a matter of issue.

Misogyny from teenagers. Very sad as you'd like to think we're past this kind of nonsense now, especially with the young.

Not defending the lads as I don’t know exactly what was chanted but it does highlight how you’re treated differently by the police as a football fan imo as opposed to things that happen outside of football

Obviously extremely juvenile but if that is what was chanted, come on.
09:45, Sun 26 Nov
Does feel a little extreme, though I can’t say I’m gutted for them.
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.

Just being robustly escorted from the stadium and a clip around the ear is all that was needed.

Modern life is rubbish.

Too right, fecking lefties.
10:17, Sun 26 Nov
And tbf there’s been far worse chanted at men at the football

I don’t like it, it’s shit but I don’t think we should be going down the path of arresting people for idiotic chanting

I don’t particularly like abusing refs in general. eff would I want to be one

I’ve done it at kids football level for free and it’s tough. They deserve as much or less as anyone else on the pitch copping it though tbf.
But yeah police stepping in for this them ignoring abuse between fans is strange and doesn’t sit right. Especially when you see videos of other stuff in life going unpunished. Hate preaching and stuff especially

In the Kop corner by me they were calling her a fecking slag and the rest. didn’t take long for them to be ushered out and took to the nick
Have they said its Blues fans or Sheff W fans, If it's our own fans yet another black mark against us, especially after the racist remarks to Deeney and Bacuna and the Grealish attack a few seasons back, some of our fans really need to get a grip it is doing more harm to the club and hopefully the perpetrators are nationally shamed
