So the European Super League could be back on the "big" clubs agenda.
For me anything that threatens the continuation of the all powerful Premier league and with it the monopolisation that Sky have has got to be a good thing.
If the big boys want a new league let them carry on and I'm sure those over the expressway will be one of the first to sign up so that in itself is a good thing.
I think the over commercialisation of our top league must at some point come to an end and return the game to its proper roots.
I don’t mind Sky. It’s better than the BBC and BT and Amazon. The Saturday afternoon pundits are shit now and the Neville Carragher double act is way past its best, but even so they are all better than the alternatives.
Don’t mind the elite fecking off but the not quite elitw will be fawned over then and that will be just as aggravating. Look at the way they ejaculated all over Leicester the other night.
Unfortunately, while there’s an arse to lick there always be someone ready with a quivering tongue.

🤣
Tye last of the great poets.
Between this, football getting a regulator and cricket getting back on free to air it could very well feck up Sky which IMHO wouldn't be a bad thing at all
As far as I’m concerned Liverpool and Man U can go and play on Pluto. Not interested and fed up of the coverage they get.
Haircut1000Another thing that's wrong with it. It's like saying the UK Supreme Court must have a judge from Tunbridge Wells. The ECJ has judges from each EU member state.

Agreed….but what is stopping our owners (if they have 20 billion in the bank ) from signing up. Our credentials being We are one of the worlds biggest country second city named underachieving club and could share Villa’s new super 80,000 seater stadium ?

Over two thirds of our Prime Ministers went to Oxbridge. We don't exactly give off much of an impression that we care too much about having a diverse and wide spread bunch representing us.
I see Fabricant got Knighted the other week too. Absolutely mental.
Oxbridge is open to everyone. Luxembourgeois citizenship is not.

Well it's not is it. It's open for people who pass certain criteria to be part of it. In theory everyone can apply to be a Luxembourg citizen.
The big clubs (or at least the people who run them) want to extend their global appeal and revenues. Suggesting this is about the ECJ is a bit of a red herring. The issue is already there. Ironically making it a world wide competition probably makes it less competitive.
As it happens just looked up the members of our Supreme Court . Mostly Oxbridge educated, but there is also representation on it from the Scottish system and their Welsh and N Ireland as. So not so
different to Europe, except it isn’t formalised.
CharcyDecided by excellence rather than accident of birth. The ECJ has racism baked into its set-up.bluearmyfactionOxbridge is open to everyone. Luxembourgeois citizenship is not.
