Nah, not having it.

Whether you are picking a player out or just putting it in an area hoping someone attacks it, it's a cross. Not putting it across. The word across is the words "a" and "cross" being put together. Across. A cross.

I won't be taking any further questions or fielding any rebuttal.

"Crosses are for corners" and the full backs to provide .... those that people are calling "wingers" need to heading inside, not outside.

Take Salah for instance (obviouly we don't have that calibre).. at Blues fans would be calling him a winger ... he's obviously not --- and be wanting him to stay out wide, just 'cos they want us to play "with wingers"

Heard Yoko wants the move to Belgium. Closer to his family in Wrexham

So if Salah puts the ball "across" for Nunez it's not a cross. But if Alexander Arnold plays an identical ball it is a cross?

Undoubtedly Salah sometimes "crosses" it - but that's not his main game

or are you saying Salah and Alexander Arnold play identical roles ?

No. I'm saying if a ball is delivered from a wide area across the penalty area , irrespective of the personnel it is a cross.

Our first goal on Saturday . The ball from Dowell to Dykes. Cross or putting the ball across?

cross

and

¯\_(ツ)_/¯

1:28 ... Anderson to Stansfield ... not a cross but "getting it across"

The statement you are arguing with was made against Rab who was insistent that, in a previous game, a pass that was "getting it across" from Laird, similar to the Anderson one i've just highlighted, was a "cross" ... it isn't .... so you are actually agreeing with me

... the one here at 44 secs ... you're not claiming, like others did, that this is a "cross" ? .. it most obviously isn't.

I just wanted to say again that the ball from Paik there is fecking sexual.
Tell you what that crack is really moreish.

Will be sad to see him go.

Feel like we're giving up a bit soon. Hanson not back yet, wright was out for months not long ago, keshi can be prone to injury. We're still in two cups.

Would have liked to keep developing him for the season and review over summer.

Great cross from Laird too to pick out May for a tap in when plenty would have shot.
His cross to pick out Willy was quality too. Lairds best game for us

Opta

A ball played from a wide position targeting a teammate(s) in a central area within proximity to the Goal. The delivery must have an element of lateral movement from a wider position to more central area in front of Goal.

Anderson’s is definitely a cross, weird argument.

Anderson is at least 2 whole yards inside the friggin' penalty area when he "plays the ball across" - how on earth does that meet the Opta definition of "cross" ... ie "A ball played from a wide position".

I should have ignored the previous personal abuse if this is the level of thinking behind it.

I think it's a shame if he's leaving on a permanent.

If that is what's going on? I came to this thread hoping to find out, but have just read three pages of people arguing what constitutes a cross and Rags explaining why everyone other than him is stupid, and have lost the will to live.

"why everyone other than him is stupid" ... not "everyone" - just those who disagree with me
