Agreed. Think it’s also worth remembering CD has been an analyst in numerous coaching roles; so will be acutely aware of a player’s output, positioning, statistical contribution etc
Can see him being quite conservative / dismissive of players who flatter to deceive or don’t follow instructions… but that’s just conjecture.
So all that said, could be anything. Happens.
Do wish we’d got some pace in out wide though (though hoping we won’t need it).
Yeah I wouldn’t be surprised to see cd setting us up that way, bit boring though, would rather see us take the game to teams.
Obviously I'm not privy to what goes on behind closed doors, and it's churlish to question much given our form and league / cup positions, but count me as not a fan of this move on the face of it. Our style, while effective at hopefully getting us out of this crap division at the first attempt, has been somewhat bland since the Shrewsbury defeat. Yokoyama's cameos have been one of the few things to get me out of my seat, so from an entertainment as opposed to pure effectiveness viewpoint, it feels like a step in the wrong direction. I always felt that he gave the opposition something different to think about when he came on.
It's 1:07 and no mention I can see of his moving. Has this entire thread just been speculative hot air?
ThrillhouseJust yet again people projecting problems that don’t exist because we don’t have any real ones
“I bet Yokoyama is homesick”
“I bet Bielik is upset because he’s not starting a couple of games and has competition”
“I bet Leonard hates Chris Davies and wishes he’d have not signed”
“I bet May and Stansfield don’t get on because they both like goals”
Wonder which one will be next.
I bet there’s no cow in bovril at the Newcastle game!

I can only tell you what I’ve been told - that he is going.
Might be one announced in the am
Has Yoko gone then? Pretty much zero coverage from the media, all about the prem, innit.
A quiet window, which is to be expected with our league position.
Just announced. Gone to Genk on loan

Gone to Genk on loan. That's a very good move for him they're a decent side.
Wow top of the league, love to know what the fee involved will be, good luck to him.
Not perm or no perm option mentioned at least, but the argument of sending him somewhere to settle goes out of the door with a move to yet another country.
Is this a “go get experience and come back, he’s a development player” type move or is he brown bread in CD eyes I wonder?
I think this one is pretty much permanent in all but name.
I'm a bit disappointed for the purposes of this season as I think he offers something different and I'm sceptical about the fitness of our other options.
However, the club/Davies have yet again acted decisively and ultimately I trust their judgement.
