Had a quick scan of the thread and can’t see a mention of the Brum punk bands: The Prefects (someone did say Nightingales), Charged GBH, Dead Wretched and Drongos for Europe.
RagsBlack Sabbath, ELO, Moody Blues, Duran Duran, OCS, then UB40 in terms of record sales worldwide probably,
?? Judas Priest have sold over 40 million albums v OCS 1.4 million
