Editors - VERY much a Birmingham band sold more albums than Ocean Colour Scene and Dexy's combined ... yet no mention here

They defeinitely havent sold more.

Moseley Shoals was in the top 40 for 2 years when people would buy records.
Marchin' Already knocked Be Here Now off number one and sold very well.

Editors though I liked but surely they've never been a high selling band?

The Editors were formed in Birmingham, not sure how many of them are Brummies though, if any.

They were brilliant at a sold out O2 on Saturday 👍🏼

Are you sure?

Editors have gone platinum twice

I can’t see Dexies selling half as many as that

OCS won’t be too far behind but Editors are hugely popular

The bass player is a Brummie, and their manager is Blues. 👍👍

Haven’t read the whole thread but, has anybody mentioned The Maisonettes?

Going to be a tough ask to convince people that a band that had 1 Top 40 hit was 'the best Brummie band ever'

Don't misunderstand me - I their track 'Heartache Avenue' but they were pretty much the dictionary definition of a one hit wonder.

(PS - I love that a band with one top ten hit had the brass neck to release a greatest hits album!)
