New planning application submitted last week.
Not sure if this link works, but this is what I found.

So a load of Amazon warehouses then.
Looks a bit worrying if our stadium plan is going up in smoke.
The link works.
But isn't that clearance and remediation just what the council are already committed to doing and have central government funding for?
How big is the site?
That’s about 20 acres of warehouse

I don't know anything about this.
Was hoping Rags saw this cos he's much more clued up - wanted his input.
The plannng application is in line with the planning guidance for the site and the basis for the remediation funding from the combined authority so nothing new. Personally I’m not sure it works for warehouses or logistics, the Road access for the site for HGVs is poor and only likely to get worse.

Doesnt appear to have anything of detail in there around what it will actually be used for. Industrial would suggest it wont be stadium related, although there are 4 zones?
Industrial and Storage it says, amazon sheds for example.
Hmm.
Can the council just reject this?
Who owns the land, the council?
Stadium plans for this area seems extremely unlikely now then.
Maybe they have another area in mind to explore in time.
Sorry if I'm being thick but why is it less likely if someone else has submitted planning permission?
If we do the same can the council not just choose who they prefer?
