And that’s not being greedy either

They can absolutely do one.

We'd be stupid to even entertain offers for him, he's absolutely nailed on to be a Premier League player in the future.

Probably going to go to pay for the Rooney & co payoff.

Hang on to him. Can’t keep selling our youth products. Wages probably aren’t among the highest (that’s a completely uninformed guess) and would expect him to be a key player as we hopefully improve over the next 2 years.

Games changed. It’s almost impossible to hold on to talented kids. Just a shame the Jude money didn’t pay for a squad rebuild and promotion push

GIF Man's tweet makes sense last night posted an 🇮🇹 flag. Only way we can do proper buisness this month with FFP. Need 10m minimum for him

4.5m euros apparently

Atalanta has presented an offer of 4.5M € + bonus for Jordan James. The negotiation is well underway and could be accepted shortly.

In recent months, James had also been in Bologna's sights.

Then let's not do any business this month.

Squad is perfectly capable of at least a mid table finish with the right management. Be madness to sell James to buy players when we are 20th

Of course you can. It's pure profit on the FFP balance sheet as well, which gives even more wriggle room and makes selling youth players incredibly attractive. I don't like the figures quotes in the rest of the thread, but we can't afford to be sentimental about things.

(I also think he has a bit of a ceiling, not sure he'll be a PL player myself)

Agreed. Besides he will be worth even more in due course.

There’s no way we’d sell him for that. If there was a chance to get him at that price, plenty of other clubs would be chucking offers in.

we'd have sold him for that if Wayne had convinced them he could do good with the 5mil

hopefully thats changed overnight

hopefully stansfield sticks around too, Mowbray could help that as they spoke in the summer..
